La Barba Coffee started as Charming Beard Coffee in 2012. The Standard Espresso began back then under a different name - Hulihee. This is the same classic espresso with a new name.

Espresso is extremely popular, especially when considering that it forms the base of so many drinks - cappuccinos, lattes, etc. It is probably the trickiest brew method requiring more specialized equipment and skill.
Because of this, coffees for espresso have traditionally been roasted with a view to them working well with the brew method but in a way that sacrifices the coffee's distinct flavor characteristics. Our Standard Espresso is roasted for espresso brewing but still maintains a dynamic flavor profile that tastes great as a shot or with milk.
