Such a pleasant coffee to drink. All the nuances play together for a perfectly well rounded cup.
- Weston Schnetz
This coffee comes from the Northern reaches of the Nariño district, an area where farmers producing high quality coffees have struggled to access buyers, and, as a result often had to sell at very low prices in order to move the coffee to areas where others would sell it at a more appropriate price. The importer we bought this coffee from has worked with farmers and a co-op in this part of Nariño to create channels for producers of high quality coffee to get higher prices that more closely align with the quality of the coffee they've grown and processed. There are many great coffee producers in the world's coffee regions, and our hope is to see more and more of them gain access to markets in which they can receive a price for their coffee based on its quality rather than the variety of other factors that press farmers into lower prices. This coffee is a great example of what we hope to see happening.
