When we started in specialty coffee in 2012, dark roasts were not welcomed. Being headquartered in Utah, we didn't have the luxury of telling dark roast lovers to look elsewhere. Noche Oscura was designed as a blend to welcome all coffee drinkers into our shops.

Specialty coffee has tended to shun anything with dark character. We understand the aversion - so much coffee has historically been dark AND from very low quality green coffee. Dark character doesn't have to equal low quality though.
With Noche Oscura, we've sought to roast high quality green coffee for those who prefer a dark, bold cup. This comes straight out of our conviction that good coffee is for everyone.
